The great thing about Mitt is when he was Governor of Massachusetts, his policies were almost identical to President Obamas, ie. his almost identical healthcare plan, his tax code. Not to mention his stance on abortion. And gay and lesbian marriage.
His state was the first state in the union to make same sex marriage legal. A legislation he grew his polarity on. His state at that time was fiscally and domestically prosperous and growing.
Lately he has tried to distance himself from the President. Such as all the other nominees are doing. But Mitt can't really because his policies have been and are to similar to Obamas.
It's going to end up between Newter, Mitt, and either Cain, or Bachman. Don't quote me on that, lol. But, if it does. We all know what the odds are of Cain or Bachman against our POTUS.
Newt is having problems with his own base, and his personal baggage alone is already hurting him. One might say he is also an elitist who knows nothing about reality and the way we " the statistics " are living. With that being said, we arrive at Mr Romney.
As you said he will need to flip flop, lie, he will try to obfuscate (bewilder) the public, etc... So with the power of the WhiteHouse and all that comes with being President. Obamas campaigns stops are going to be as large as they were in "2008."
Romney with all the negatives already facing him, and his tendency to seem extremely nervous when talking about important Global and economic policies. I don't believe he or any of the Republican Candidates can even come close to matching the turnouts during the campaign rallies.
Of course in politics nothing is set in stone, but they have already thrown everything at Obama that they can. His numbers still reflect that a massive amount of us citizens will be voting him back in. Us citizens being his Democratic base.
It will be up to the campaign trail where Obama will add up votes like time adds hours. We can most likely believe that President Obama will appeal and connect with the Occupancy Movement which I might add is already supporting Democrats in key swing states, as well as gathering clout.
President Obama will also generate many more votes appealing to that base. He has the unions, he has the 99% at least 3/4. If him and his staff are able to
Make a dent in our economic whoas, which if you read the data their initiatives along with the Federal Reserves are starting to gain traction. Even Mr Conservative himself, Ben Stein agrees with the Buffet rule, in that the wealthy should pay their fair share of taxes, would be fiscally responsive.
There will also be a massive troop draw down, or the info of, that will also help President Obama. With all these variables, it seems as if we have ourselves decent looking campaign futures. Granted the Republicans with the money from special interests and the deep pockets of the 1% will pull out all the stops, regardless of who wins the nomination.
They will not make it a cake walk for certain. I just don't see them drawing the crowds and supporters that the President will. Due of course, to their social and domestic disconnect.
What ever happens I do know for certain we must keep the heat on state officials. It is the ramped corruption on Capitol hill that is the main cause for all this public backlash. We need to vote in as many new fresh faces to Congress. We need to vote the same way in the Senate. Specific Governors are also on their way. They have been nothing but patsies for the federal leaders of their states. They too need to be watched according to the legislations they tried to pass this last time around.
I believe with that information to go on we have a good grasp on what's in store for the preparation towards getting President Obama re-elected and cleaning up the Halls of Capitol Hall.
We are all in this to win this, so let's enjoy our holiday and as soon as we can, let's hit the ground running.
On this Thanksgiving, we are VERY thankful to have all of you as great members of True Blue Party Democrats. Your posts and knowledge help on so many levels. Thank you all for your participation and helping to make our Agenda a reality. Happy Holidays all...!
